Liu Linbo, Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, has many years of experience and is dedicated to research in body surface tumors, pathological scars, skin and soft tissue injuries, and aesthetic surgery.

Biography

Liu Linbo, Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University; Chief Physician, Professor, and Supervisor of Doctoral and Master's Students.      

In 1976, he joined the workforce (as a sent-down educated youth and barefoot doctor) and began practicing medicine. In 1977, he was admitted to the former Henan Medical College; after graduating in 1982, he remained at the college as a faculty member. He has been engaged in clinical care, teaching, and research in plastic and aesthetic surgery, with extensive clinical experience. For consecutive years, he has taught core courses such as General Principles of Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery, with good teaching outcomes. His research focuses on body surface tumors, pathological scars, skin and soft tissue injuries, aesthetic surgery, and related fields. He has published more than 60 papers; as chief editor or contributing editor, he has contributed to more than 10 monographs and textbooks, including Aesthetic Surgery, Aesthetic Psychology, Aesthetic Surgery Nursing, and Plastic Surgery Syndromes; he has received 4 scientific research achievement awards and 2 national patents. He is currently leading 3 provincial and departmental-level research projects. He has supervised more than 10 master's students to graduation and is currently supervising more than 10 doctoral and master's students. He received the 2005 Physician Award from the Beauty and Plastic Surgery Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and the 2010 Discipline Contribution Award from the Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Society of the Chinese Medical Association.
